These simple rules help us preserve the house, its garden and the peaceful village of Riumors — so every guest can enjoy the same care we put into welcoming you.
Group parties, events and celebrations are not allowed.

General use of the home
- Keep doors and windows closed during summer to prevent flies — the house has mosquito screens and air conditioning.
- Keep the door curtains in place: they help reduce insects indoors.
- Turn off the garden lights before going to sleep (by 02:00).
- Please do not move furniture between rooms without prior authorisation.
- Smoking is strictly forbidden in the bedrooms; please smoke in moderation elsewhere.

Neighbours, environment & pets
- Respect neighbours' rest from 21:00 — no loud music or shouting.
- The village is rural: enjoy the quiet, and please leave the surroundings as you found them.
- Pets are only allowed with prior approval. They must not get on beds or sofas, or enter the pool.
- Pets may not be left alone in the house, either indoors or in the garden. They must always be accompanied.
- Well-behaved, trained pets are welcome. Their owners are responsible for any damage and additional cleaning costs. An extra deposit of €300 is required and refunded at check-out.

Pool
- Adult guests are responsible for the use of the pool; children must always be supervised.
- No running, pushing or dangerous jumping.
- Plastic drinkware is provided — no glass, bottles or plates near the pool.
- Close the parasol in strong wind and when not in use.

Barbecue & laundry
- You are welcome to use the barbecue, but it must be thoroughly cleaned before departure (otherwise a €100 cleaning fee applies).
- Dry beach and outdoor towels on the outdoor clothesline by the barbecue hut.
- If you use the washer or dryer, please replace the detergent used.

Security
- Lock all doors, windows and external entrances when you leave the house.
- Do not tamper with electrical panels, boilers, pool equipment or other technical installations.
- Do not light candles or braziers indoors.
- In case of any breakdown or leak, please call the owner: +34 686 972 517.

Cleaning, waste & care
- The house will be clean and fully equipped on arrival — please leave it reasonably tidy when you depart.
- Take your rubbish to the recycling bins at the end of Carrer Nou each day; turn left when you reach the end of the street.
- Do not flush wipes, sanitary products, oils or food remains — use the bins.
- Report any damage or breakage to the owner as soon as possible.

How deep is the pool?
1.2 metres, which makes it suitable for children.
What should I do if an alarm goes off?
It won't happen, but if it does, please call the owner: +34 686 972 517.
Can I visit Barcelona from the house?
Barcelona is 1 hour 30 minutes away by car, so you can visit the city and return late in the day. Another option is the high-speed train from Figueres: a 45-minute journey that takes you to the centre of Barcelona.
What are the local beaches like and how far are they?
The beaches have semi-fine sand and full services (lifeguards, bars, etc.) and are 7 km away, about 15 minutes by car (La Rubina, Sant Pere Pescador, etc.). Beyond Roses you will find beautiful coves such as La Almadrava and Pelosa, and further on Montjoi (40 minutes) and Joncols (50 minutes) — exclusive spots on the Costa Brava.
If the capacity is 8 people, why does it say 8 to 10?
Two extra beds can be added in the double bedrooms, mainly for children rather than adults. However, the house is ideally suited to 8 guests.
What kind of coffee machine and appliances are there?
There are two Nespresso-style coffee machines with complimentary capsules. The kitchen also has a kettle, juicer, hand blender, mixer, microwave, ice crusher and toaster.
Can I use the washing machine and dryer?
Of course. We only ask that beach towels are air-dried on the clothesline, as the sand in them damages both the washing machine and the dryer. Sheets also dry better and without creases on the clothesline than in the dryer.
Are check-in and check-out times strict?
No. We only need to allow 5 hours for cleaning when one group departs and another arrives on the same day. Otherwise, arrival and departure times are flexible.
Why is an "extra" deposit required for pets?
Pets may not get on sofas or beds, nor swim in the pool. The extra deposit covers cases where pet hair is found on sofas and beds, as washing the sofa covers and repairing any other damage involves an additional cost.
How are the keys handed over?
The owner hands over the keys in person, taking the opportunity to explain how the house works and to meet you.
