Beaches near our villa on the Costa Brava
Riumors is in the heart of the Alt Empordà, just minutes from some of the widest beaches on the Costa Brava. From the villa you can choose each day between long sandy beaches with all the facilities or small coves surrounded by nature.
Sant Pere Pescador and La Rubina: 7 km, about 15 minutes
These are the two beaches closest to the villa. Lovely and wide, with fairly fine sand, dunes and shallow water, lifeguards and beach bars where you can have an aperitif or lunch. Ideal for families with children. At Sant Pere Pescador you can also go kitesurfing, sailing and stand-up paddleboarding.
Castelló d'Empúries beach: 9 km
Another long, open beach on the Bay of Roses, a few minutes away by car.
Roses beach: 25 minutes
A town beach in the centre of Roses, with restaurants right on the sand. Take the chance to visit its market, which is well worth it for the fish.
Costa Brava coves: 40 to 50 minutes
If you are after scenery, the coves begin beyond Roses. They are not exactly beaches, but small, beautiful corners:
- Cala Pelosa: beautiful.
- Cala Montjoi (40 min): where El Bulli, Ferran Adrià's famous restaurant, used to be.
- Cala Joncols (50 min): going through Roses and past Montjoi. Further away and less crowded, almost deserted and idyllic. It has a small hotel with a restaurant where you can have a rice dish or fish. It is a whole-day outing: take water and fruit.
Further north are Cap de Creus and Cadaqués, about 40 minutes away.

After a day by the sea, you return to a quiet village, away from the bustle, with a private pool, garden and barbecue to round off the day.
